About Us
HCHC offers programs and services normally only found at
health facilities in larger, more metropolitan areas.
Physicians, staff and the board of trustees at the Center
have a commitment to quality, availability and convenience
for our patients and their families. Combining
small-town hospitality with the latest in medical technology
gives the people of Henry County the best health services
available.
Henry County Health Center received national attention when
it was identified by Modern Healthcare as one of the top 100
hospitals in the United States and in the top 20 rural
hospitals with fewer than 250 beds. This national
acclaim speaks highly for the Center, which serves as an
example of quality care in the changing healthcare
environment.
Henry County Health Center Emergency
Medical Services was named the 1998 recipient of the EMT-Paramedic
Emergency Medical Service of the Year award by the National
Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT).
Since 1921, HCHC has been caring for the people of
Southeast Iowa with compassion and professionalism.
Through the years, Henry County Health Center has stayed at
the forefront of health care and has, in the process, become
more than a hospital in the traditional sense. HCHC
has become the area's "hub" for healthcare, serving the
needs of both healthy community members and those requiring
more specialized medical care.
