Founded in May, 1990 as an independent corporation, the Henry County Health Center Foundation has been committed to bringing high quality, compassionate healthcare to southeast Iowa through collaborative programming with HCHC, community health entities and local wellness initiatives.
The past twenty years have brought amazing changes: The growth of Henry County Health Center, a modest, rural hospital, into a cornerstone of the local economy and a nationally-recognized center of healthcare advancement and innovation. Every day Henry County Health Center Foundation touches the lives of hundreds of area residents.
We welcome the support of our community and appreciate your gifts of time, money and resources. That support takes many forms: volunteers, who transport the elderly to their doctor's appointments, assist our nurses or knit caps for newborn babies. There are those who staff the gift shop, and those who give of themselves through various in-kind contributions. Others make financial contributions, form trusts and endowments or establish other planned gifts to fund new programs and equipment.
But we recognize that before you offer your time, your money or your resources, certain questions must be answered:
- Will my contribution make a real difference in the life of another person?
- Will my contribution improve the quality of life in our community?
- Will my contribution make the future better?
- Will my contribution be appreciated and used wisely?
Our purpose is to help you to find positive answers to those questions and lead you to a decision to support the vital work of Henry County Health Center Foundation. We are confident your answer will be YES.
The Foundation has enlisted the expertise of a separate volunteer Board of Directors responsible for supporting the Mission of HCHC Foundation. The Foundation is staffed by personnel based in the HCHC complex. Financial contributions to the Foundation will be retained locally and will be used to benefit the healthcare related programs in our communities. The HCHC Foundation is organized under the laws of Iowa and is a tax-exempt organization under section 501c(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
