2011 HCHC Foundation Golf Benefit
FORE!

Golfers, diners and volunteers flocked to the 3rd Annual Henry County Health Center Foundation Golf Benefit held August 10th at the Mount Pleasant Golf and Country Club. With net proceeds of just over $22,000, this year’s event helped us further our support of health related projects and initiatives throughout our community and at HCHC. Projects such as mammography and medication assistance programs, diabetes education, hospital equipment purchases, and advanced training and scholarships for healthcare professionals have been strengthened by this event.
Golfers enjoyed lunch and practiced their swing and putts before teeing off. On the course, they competed for individual and team prizes, and were given a chance at a $10,000 Hole-in-One shot. After play, golfers joined other Foundation supporters for a delicious dinner and lively auction. We are so grateful to the golf sponsors, vendors, volunteers and participants for their commitment to keeping high quality healthcare right here in Henry County. Thank you again.
Hope to see you next year –Wednesday, August 8, 2012! Contact Michelle to reserve your spot today.

HCHC Foundation Presents...All That Glitters Gala
In early April, HCHC Foundation supporters came together to enjoy a remarkable All That Glitters Gala while at the same time knowing that they were enhancing the delivery of care and advancing medical services to improve the lives of Henry County Health Center patients and area residents. Just over $11,000 was raised to further health services and health initiatives in Southeast Iowa.
Relay for Life
HCHC and HCHC Foundation have partnered up for the 2011 Henry County Relay for Life scheduled June 4, 2011 at the Iowa Wesleyan College campus. Hospital associates, Foundation board members and area supporters showed their commitment to fighting cancer by participating in the 12 hour walk-a-thon. Cheers, smiles, laughter and some tears were shared throughout the beautiful day. Interested in joining a Relay for Life team next year? Wayland Community Clinic - Your Dollars at Work
The mission of the HCHC Foundation is to plan, promote, develop, fund and deliver important health related initiatives for the benefit of individuals and families of Henry County and surrounding areas. And we are doing just that with a recent $5,000 award to Wayland Economic Development Commission for renovations and updates to the Wayland Community Clinic. The Wayland Community Clinic provides convenient and accessible healthcare services to residents of Wayland and northern Henry County. The HCHC Foundation recognizes the important role that the Clinic plays in the health of our communities. We are pleased to be participants in this worthy project. More importantly, we are thankful for our many supporters whose gifts have made our award for the Clinic possible.
A Star is Born Baby Wall
We know there’s nothing that compares with the birth of your child. No matter how many times you experience the miracle of birth; there will always be anxious moments, unforgettable memories and unbridled joy.
To help your family celebrate this unforgettable moment, the Henry County Health Center Foundation has developed A Star Is Born Baby Wall. Stars engraved with the child’s name may be purchased by parents, grandparents, family members or groups of friends to honor the birth of a child at HCHC. Stars are displayed on the wall located on the second floor of HCHC in the Maternity Services Department.
All contributions received from A Star Is Born Baby Wall will support health initiatives of the HCHC Foundation. Such initiatives include equipment purchases, continuing education for our nurses, doctors and other health professionals, and community wellness programs.
