Oncology Social Work

A Social Worker is available to assist you with any questions you may have regarding issues related to mental, emotional, or spiritual support, family & community support, insurance coverage, or assistance in arranging home services.  A professionally trained social worker can assist you and or your family with some of the non-medical issues that occur when you have a diagnosis of cancer.

• Financial counseling
• Assistance in coordinating home care services or nursing home placement
• Counseling and support in coping with cancer
• Referral to community resources such as congregate meals, medical equipment, etc.
• Referral to hospice care
• Assistance with transportation resources to get to treatment and physician appointments
• Handicap parking permits
