Who We Are
Park Place is a long-term care facility with 49 intermediate/skilled care beds. The facility is located on the Health Center Park campus and provides patients with the nursing and medical care they need in a home-like environment.
Park Place is certified by the Iowa Department of Social Services, licensed by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals and approved by the Iowa Foundation for Medical Care.
What We Do
Our function is to provide quality care to seniors and those individuals with disabilities. We accept skilled and intermediate care residents as well as private pay and Medicaid eligible individuals. We emphasize “restorative care” so each resident can maintain or enhance their individual abilities in order to remain as independent as possible. Music therapy is on the horizon.
Park Place operates on the philosophy of the Eden Alternative. This focuses on life and living. Our goal is to eliminate the “three plagues of nursing homes: the feelings of boredom, helplessness and loneliness. Animals, plants, birds, flowers and a host of other amenities are the tools we use as well as being spontaneous in interacting with the residents.
