Dr. Walker received her bachelor of science degree in general science/pre-medicine from Lincoln University in Oxford, Pennsylvania. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology track internship and her residency training at Michigan State University. In addition, she completed residency training at St. John's Detroit Riverview Hospital and St. John's Macomb Hospital, both located in Michigan.

Dr. Walker's memberships include the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She also has experience as an outreach worker/patient advocate.
