The Maternal and Child Health nurse will contact new parents in the hospital or by phone. She offers a home visit to share information on health, safety, parenting, growth and development, community resources and assistance with referrals. An assessment of the infant, including any feeding issues is also included. Telephone reassurance is available. Home visits are free of charge.
