The Maternal Health Program for Pregnant Women provides the information and support needed to have a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby.  An RN coordinates health services such as:

  • Assistance in obtaining appropriate payment source
  • Assistance in obtaining a physician
  • Referrals to prenatal education classes
  • Obtaining presumptive eligibility for non-citizens
  • Providing nutrition evaluation and education
  • Supplying prenatal vitamins
  • Scheduling postpartum home visit
  • Arranging dental screening assessment, fluoride varnish, education and referral for dental care.
  • Offering  preventative dental services on an appointment basis for pregnant women who are underserved.
