Women’s Health Services at HCHC
At HCHC, we are committed to meeting the healthcare needs of area women and young families. HCHC and Certified Nurse-Midwives Kari Payne, ARNP, CNM, and Kendra Bonnesen, ARNP, CNM, appreciate the opportunity to provide you and your growing family with high quality healthcare you can trust.
Beginning June 1, 2020, Henry County Health Center will no longer have a labor and delivery unit. HCHC will instead partner through a shared care program with Great River Medical Center (GRMC) in West Burlington to have deliveries coordinated at GRMC. For patients who choose delivery by certified nurse-midwives, HCHC’s Kari Payne and Kendra Bonnesen will rotate with GRMC’s certified nurse-midwife to deliver babies at GRMC. Obstetric (OB) physicians are also available at GRMC for labor and delivery services.
Expectant mothers can continue to receive their prenatal and postpartum care at our Mt. Pleasant clinic. HCHC certified nurse-midwives will work closely with patients to determine labor and delivery needs, and help select the best location for delivery. Following delivery, we invite moms and their newborns to return to our Mt. Pleasant clinic for postpartum care and a full range of women’s health services. We are committed to providing you and your family with excellent care. Please contact the Mt. Pleasant clinic at 319-385-6770 to schedule an appointment or if you have specific questions about OB services.
